How the service worksInvariably, the franchise agreement will be in standard form and not subject to negotiation which is entirely normal to ensure that all franchisees are operating under the same document. The legal review should not be perceived as an obstacle in terms of complexity, time and cost but it is vital that franchisees understand the rights and liabilities which they are taking on. Nina will provide a comprehensive written report outlining the key provisions of the agreement and highlighting anything which is unusual or, just as important, what may be missing, together with areas for clarification with the franchisor.
The report usually takes approximately 5-7 working days to complete but Nina will aim to work within a shorter time frame if required. The fee includes any follow up calls and emails if necessary (within reason!).
Reports on franchise agreements are undertaken at a highly competitive fixed rate of £495 plus VAT (£594 total). Nina is nominated by the franchise units of the major banks to offer a reduced fee arrangement to their current or prospective customers at £495 including VAT for HSBC, NatWest and Lloyds Bank customers. Nina is the only solicitor to offer this service through these leading franchise banks. Complete and return the relevant form when ordering your report if you are an existing or prospective customer of those banks (personal or business), consenting to Nina sharing the report with the franchise unit at the relevant bank.
Alternatively, Nina offers a 10% discount on the full price (so £534 including VAT) for prospective franchisees of bfa members through the bfa’s member-to-member initiative.
